Walking into your first boutique fitness class in München can feel more intimidating than it should. You are not sure what to wear, how hard people will push you, or whether you will keep up. This guide is meant to take that uncertainty away, so you can focus on the workout instead of worrying about it.
What to expect before class starts
Plan to arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early for your first class. This gives your coach time to introduce you to the space, show you how any equipment works, and answer questions privately before the group session begins. Nobody expects you to already know the routine on day one.
What to wear and bring
Comfortable training clothes, trainers and a water bottle are all you really need. Everything else, from mats to towels to equipment, is provided in the studio.
You will not be the only beginner in the room
It can feel like everyone else already knows what they are doing, but most classes have a genuine mix of experience levels, and coaches are trained to modify movements for anyone who is new. Nobody is going to notice if your form is not perfect in week one. They are focused on their own workout.
Modifications are normal, not a failure
Every exercise in an Eternity class can be scaled up or down depending on your fitness level. Lowering the incline on a treadmill or using lighter weights is not a sign that you are struggling, it is simply how the format is designed to work for everyone in the room at once.
How to feel confident by your second or third visit
Consistency does more for your confidence than intensity does. Most first timers say the second or third class already feels significantly more familiar, once they understand the general structure and get to know a few faces in the studio.
